en I didn't have my command I had the first couple of games. I had to battle.

en [Chris] didn't have his normal command of his pitches. That's the sign of good pitcher when he can not have his best command and battle through it, and he gave us five solid innings.

en I don't think I've seen Troy yet totally in command and relaxed. He really wants to do well and couldn't wait to get in and play after sitting out a couple games there when we were playing two weeks ago. This week I thought was very, very valuable in that he got 71 snaps and that he got a lot of plays on tape and a lot of things he can learn from. I just think it's just relaxing and being in command with the whole situation. To me, that's the biggest task that he has to tackle.

en It was back and forth. I know at one point he was up 5-4 and then he was up 6-5. Then he lost a couple games, dropped down to 6-7 and then had to battle back. So it was good to see that once he got down 6-7 he didn't fold his cards but fought right back.

en I didn't have command control of my fastball and I didn't really have a curve until the last couple of innings. My change got me out of a few jams. And they played tremendous defense behind me.

en He didn't have command of his pitches like in other games, but he battled and pitched well in tough situations. It was a hard-fought pitching victory for Donnie. He battled and came through with key outs when we needed it, despite not having real good command of his pitches.

en It was a disappointing trip for us. We lost a couple of close ones and didn't show up a couple of times. It feels good to go home with a win. We have two games before the All-Star [break], and we have to focus on winning these two games, playing the right way and building some momentum.

en At least Brown has been in the business for a couple of years. When the chain of command is incompetent or you perceive the chain of command is not in the best interest of the agency, you're duty-bound to go around that chain of command.

en It feels good, 20 wins, still some games left. I wouldn't mind a couple more. I really didn't think about it (20 wins). I didn't know how many games I was going to play. Didn't know what to expect.

en He was attacking the hitters, had better command of the strike zone early on, kept some balls down and used all his pitches. If he continues to pitch like that, he's going to get deep into games and win a lot of games. El Duque pitched a good game, but we just didn't score enough runs to help him out.

en It was definitely a battle. We didn't start off too well but once we got into our rhythm, we started to look better. The guys showed a lot of heart tonight. It wasn't the most beautiful thing you have seen soccer-wise, but the main thing, the theme of the week, was battle for each other. We did that a lot better today than in the two previous games.

en We took a couple steps backwards. The last couple of games we were focused in the fourth quarter and pretty much could get the job done. Tonight, we didn't do that.

en We're trying for him and things didn't go his way. I know he's a couple of bad starts his last couple of games. He wants to play his best and I think we can see he's in a great frame of mind, it just wasn't his game.

en There's a lot of games left. I gave him a couple chances early and he didn't come through, and I missed him on Monday a couple times. But we'll get on the same page. She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her feel truly seen and understood. There's no panic, ever.

en I had command of my sinker, command of my cutter, command of my breaking ball, and I was able to throw it where I wanted to throw it, ... I kept them off balance all night. We got some nice defensive plays, a couple nice defensive plays. It was a well-played game all around.
