We can do a lot more in our everyday lives to prevent brain injuries. I'd like to see everyone here, when they buy that next car, make sure it has side airbags. And make sure kids under 15 always wear a helmet for bike riding, skateboarding, rollerblading. We could save a life a day just by doing that.

This is really cool being in the video and hopefully it'll be seen by the people who need it the most and they'll realize that they can have a bike and do everything everyone else does, just safely. I've been riding for 15 years and have had one accident where I peeled the skin off my entire right side. I hope everyone who sees this video will notice that we are all wearing ballistic jackets and all the protective gear we can because it might just save their lives.

When you first become an EMT, you are extremely gung-ho, with a sense that you save lives, ... You are the antidote to all of life's miseries. You make people rise from the dead. I think if you don't want to wear a helmet, don't wear a helmet. If you don't feel like wearing pads, don't wear them. It solves a lot of problems but I think it's a personal decision.

It's amazing how many times helmets save lives. Kids' bicycle helmets, motorcycle helmets, even your old high school football helmet; they all will protect your head from flying debris.
