en Finley is going to play even if everybody is healthy, and he is going to play center field when he plays.

en It just happened that we had more of a need in center field. We all knew 'X' can play. Certainly, this would have been the year that would have provided a great opportunity to play one of the corner positions. But in this outfield here, we thought it was more important to go get a guy who can play center field.

en I'm just not comfortable with him not getting at-bats right now. If you don't play him, you're not going to see his power. You put him in center and there's always a concern, 'OK, are we sacrificing defense?' Well, I don't know. But I'm going to get him out there in center field a little bit. en Cobb would have to play center field on my all time team. But where would that put Speaker? In left. If I had them both, I would certainly play them that way.

en I don't know if his career was going nowhere. They liked him there, but here he's been a more determined player in all three zones. He fits the way we play here, and when he plays center he's able to play in any situation.

en I haven't made a pronouncement. But I've seen nothing out there from him that makes me think he can't play center field and play it well.

en That's as big a play as any, to save that ball from going to center field. And he was still trying to get the play at the bag. That's how athletic Greeney is.

en That was good enough for me. He wants to play. It's frustrating for him not to play. It was driving him crazy. On the bench in Chicago, he was going nuts. Hopefully, we can get him healthy and keep him on the field.
