We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

I thought we played well on the defensive end to only be down at 11 at the half with the way we shot the ball. As well as we played defensively in the first half, we didn't do the things we needed to on the boards and on defense in the second half.

I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

Rebounding was our emphasis the whole game, especially in the second half when we came out and held them off of the offensive boards. We limited them to four offensive boards in the second half and quite frankly, I thought that was the difference in the basketball game.

One of the keys to us is sometimes we have some great baskets and have a real good pace to how we play on offense, and then it seems to slow down. We didn't keep them off the defensive boards and they got way too many offensive boards. Voigt had 17 points and 18 rebounds.

We are going to push the counter attack even more so than last year, and everybody will get more involved in the half court offense. We do not have one dominant offensive threat, but most everybody on our team has a solid offensive game. The key for us is to find and expose mismatches when we are on offense.

He scored OK, but I thought he needed to do some other things. Scoring was the focus and I know he can do more than that. Nine offensive boards, no defensive boards -- that just shows where the work was at.

We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They find openings, they do a lot of ball screening, they penetrate and attack and try to kick to the open guy, and they do a great job crashing the offensive boards because they get you so spread out.

I thought we had a great run where we took control of the game. They dominated us on the boards in the first half so we concentrated on that in the second half. We didn't own the boards but we didn't give them those second shots they were getting in the first half. We played tougher defense. I think our man-to-man prevailed.

I go back to our turnover situation. If they are down, we are going to rebound the ball better because we're going to get more offensive boards and be able to get back and guard people and get more defensive boards.

We did a great job on the offensive boards, getting them off the boards in the second half. Even so, they still go off 12 more shots than us.

The big difference, obviously was our shooting percentage, they?re a great defensive team. Having to go up against 6-10 and 6-8 kids caused us some trouble, especially on the offensive boards.
