Fishing on Sunday was ordtak

Fishing on Sunday was great, and Saturday it was tough in the Double Bluff area [on south west side of Whidbey Island]. The racetrack (between Hat Island and Camano Head) and Saratoga Passage has definitely tapered off from two weeks ago.

There were 15 [boats] on Monday from Saratoga Passage to the racetrack [between Hat Island and Camano Head], and pretty much everyone got fish.

I fished Saturday and it was very good on the racetrack between Camano Head and Hat Island.

We had a fair weekend in the Useless Bay/Double Bluff area. There was a lot of traffic up there. Everyone was obviously having trouble where they had been fishing. Saturday was good. Saturday was scratch fishing.

The photos were taken at the three islands, North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island. There are a few good shots of a famous surf spot called Raglan - it's the longest surf left in the world and featured in the classic surf movie 'Endless Summer.' I also have a few of Clint's fishing boat, F/V Rachel, leaving the Port of New Zealand.

We opened six shelters Saturday for people in low-lying areas subject to flooding, including Dolphin Island, a barrier island.

It is an island full of myth, full of story, full of history, ... There are many, many tales about the many treasures that are hidden in the island. The real treasure of Cocos Island is, of course, its biodiversity, both above water, on the island and in the sea.

It was really great to get help from the Coast Guard. Saturday, the ships and tugs were kept down to three knots. Sunday, they shut down ship traffic altogether so the wave action would not flood the houses on Puget Island. That doesn't happen too often. Everybody has been very cooperative.

This year, there will be more North Island thermal generation and less South Island hydro. But I am informed that there is a low probability of the situation becoming dire this year. So while it's possible, it's unlikely.

The entire island is up for sale. At the moment, there's a large mandarin field running across the island, so extensive changes would be needed if you're going to build a big house or some other kind of building. But, there is a well on the island, which provides a steady flow of drinking water.

I got out Sunday and [Wednesday] morning for a couple hours, and we found black mouth every time in Saratoga Passage.

The top three fish were caught on the west side of Orcas Island in President's Channel around Point Doughty, Boy Scout Camp and Rocky Bay.

It's too early to pinpoint the specific locations and amount of rain, but we definitely see an increase in shower activity into Saturday. What will happen on land will depend on where the plumes of moisture form south of the island.

The location is really very perfect. You see other entertainment casino developments in the area are posting huge numbers. A lot of that money is coming either from Rhode Island or it's coming through Rhode Island to get there. What that means is, that people are going to these destinations, they're enjoying the amenities, but the state is not benefiting.

That was the state of Rutgers - the tri-state area and South Florida. We really didn't have much success in New York and Long Island at first. The whole Metropolitan area is critical to our success. We're doing everything we can to make New York and New Jersey one.
