en Tenacity. We're great guys in the clubhouse, but when the game starts we turn into a bunch of angry individuals.

en It's pretty amazing. This stretch is comparable to when we won 20 in a row (in 2002). It's just a great bunch of guys in this clubhouse who really like playing together. There's such good chemistry, and that's probably part of the reason we've been able to turn it around.

en Greene and Barfield are the same guy. They are guys that turn it up to another level when the game starts. You might not be impressed when you watch them in practice, but when the game starts, they turn it up. They're not scared.

en Viz is another guy that I think is great with not only the Latino guys but he's also great for guys like me. Anybody can draw on his wealth of experience. They set a standard for the right way to play the game and the right way to conduct yourself in the clubhouse and on the field. Their example is very important.

en It's frustrating, but what are you going to do? There's no doubt about it in my mind, we can turn it around. We have a great bunch of guys. We just need to continue to grind it out.

en There's always people out there that are hating, I guess. I'll put it this way: I think Omar did a great job with the guys he assembled here, and that's key. Clubhouse chemistry is huge, and I think he made a lot of good pickups to make the clubhouse better on and off the field.

en He was down here [in the clubhouse] in the third inning, getting ready for the game. He starts his routine a lot earlier than most guys I've ever seen. I walked in here to get warm for a split second in the third, and I saw him getting ready, so I thought maybe I need to get ready, too. That way, when I went in to hit, I didn't feel rushed.

en One of the first things I remember was the night he hit that home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series. It was really late. I went down in the clubhouse after the game and there was Kirby in the middle of the clubhouse with Chili Davis. A clubhouse attendant was there, too.

en I really like how this team looks in the clubhouse. I think it's going to be a lot better. We're together for six, seven months. It makes it a lot easier if guys get along and guys have fun. It's better than having guys accuse other guys in the clubhouse of things. That broke us up a little bit. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. I really like how this team looks in the clubhouse. en We have some guys that should get keys to the clubhouse because they beat the clubhouse guys here. It's a little bit different, because we've got some hard-working guys. They influence the other guys, and that's a positive effect.

en I told my guys before the game that if this game was ugly it would be in our favor. I am just speechless. I have a bunch of guys in that locker room in there who just refuse to lose. What a great feeling this is.

en I would put the over/under on Damon scoring 125, and I'd take the over any day of the week. I think the fans would absolutely love him there, just his hustle and his passion for the game, the way he goes about his business. I think he'd fit in great in the clubhouse, even though I don't know what the clubhouse is.

en What a great bunch of fortitude and fight in a great bunch of young men. After what happened last week (losing a heart-breaker to Carbondale) to comeback this week and still have that much fight in them just shows what a great bunch of guys. I am just really proud of them.

en It's easy to say you want a bunch of young guys. But no one's going to be happy whether you're young or old if you're not winning baseball games. The guys they brought in here are proven winners. They're leaders on the field and in the clubhouse. I think that's really important when you change the dynamic so much.

en With my intensity and athletic ability, I think that would be a natural switch, ... I'm just as fast as almost all those [defensive ends] out there, and as athletic, or more, than half of them. And my tenacity supersedes all of that. There are a lot of guys at that position who have gotten paid that are a bunch of slaps, and I know  I could do better than them.
