 I wonder how unique people realize that it is. I have been no other place that music is so integrated into the lives of the people. Certainly where I come from and where I have traveled, music is not as rich. Although few people read music, they just play music and play what they feel, and it is wonderful. It was just one of the most fun projects I have ever made. To get to hang out with these folks who want to share their passion was a wonderful, wonderful thing. |

The manager said you are doing the young crowd in the morning, the senior citizens in the afternoon, the engaged and married couples in the evening. | It is truly history in the making that the country music world is coming to New York, and joining with Broadway for such a wonderful, unusual and entertaining event. This special concert, performed by some of the superstars from both worlds, will not only highlight the similarities and universality of these two seemingly different genres, but also help expand the audience for each style of music. |
| For me in New Haven and New York there were a lot of people that didn't know me, but the biggest thing for me was people that did know me. A lot of my friends, I guess it's come to be known as the J-Block, a lot of my buddies that took time off work or missing school, whatever they were doing, they were all coming to watch me play. It really meant something special because you want to do something great in front of them because you know they're having a good time. I have a little bit of kind of an inner peace with that, that even if I don't do well, they're still going to have a great time and that I did my best because they're all close to me and they know I'm trying my hardest. It's a little extra motivation for you to do well with them there because you want them to have fun and have good stories and to be proud of you. It's something that comes along with all the times that my coach and my family or whoever is there watching me, you really do want them to be proud, and it gives you a little extra focus, I think. |

| I don't know who those people were in the first half wearing our uniforms. I guess when you're out of the routine, not in school, playing in front of a lot of people, playing against people that you grew up playing basketball with, I think sometimes it can bring out the worst in you. That's pretty much what happened. |
