You have touched lives, each in your own way. Without expecting anything in return, you give a part of yourselves to others and you have been enriched by a new experience. On behalf of the people of Canada, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about your fellow citizens and for contributing to the betterment of us all.

en Our parents taught us by example the importance and joy of giving. Our community has taught all of us the value of working together to achieve goals beyond our own needs. We are contributing to more than a building - we're contributing to a caring environment of hope and healing.

en Many people do not realize the toll stress can have on their lives or that mental health is key to overall health in general. Caring for both the mind and the body not only helps boost a person's spirits but can help lead to a healthier, happier and more productive life.

en I just want to thank people from the bottom of my heart for being so human and so caring towards us in our time of need. From the teachers to the principal to human services at Town Hall to parents to strangers, everybody has come together in our time of need, and I just want to thank them for being so supportive.

en [I want to convey] that there is hope?that we're a world that is in turmoil but there is hope. I'm always amazed at how much love is in people's hearts even when they disagree about things. I think it's important for people to come together in music. It reminds me of the [Margaret Mead] saying, 'Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world.' I think that's really true.

en [Refugees] think they are alone and that no one cares. All they know are their own problems. We try to show them what America and Canada looks like and then how people are caring about them from different places in the world.
