I thought they played quite well that day. They beat the Tigers convincingly at Manly so if they can get back to that form they're going to be dangerous. They're a good football side and they are probably making a few adjustments to their team but they'll be fine.

He's doing a fine job with that team. But I'm not surprised. I thought all along he would do a good job there because he's an excellent coach. Anytime you go to a new conference there are going to be adjustments. He seems to be making those adjustments well.

To get close enough ... making some free throws ... in 24 hours we could be playing for the conference championship. I thought SEMO played well. They made some big plays down the stretch. I thought we got beat by a good team that played well.

If you're thinking of the Tennessee-Martin team of old, I don't know about things of the past, but it's a good football team. We didn't get beat by them because we took them lightly. We got beat because they are a better football team than us. I wish somebody else would have played them first. I think it's a wake-up call for the league.

West Side shot the ball better than I expected. They played very well. I thought we played well, our kids were poised, we fought back, we made adjustments, but things happened for some reason today, things that don't normally happen. But I can't be more proud of a team in all my years of coaching.

I thought we made great adjustments in the second half. You can talk about turning it up, but I think the big thing is that our team has the ability to see how a team plays, then make the adjustments to get into their weaknesses. I think they have the foundation of a really good-looking football team. His (West's) first (offensive) unit is pretty good all the way around ... receivers, running backs, line, quarterback. I think the Tigers should be a fun football team to watch, they really should.

I thought our back line played very well. This is a good team, and to only allow seven shots is a pretty big statement. We didn't give them anything dangerous.

They are another good football team that the record may not show it. We came over here, played a very good football team and got beat. We go back to work tomorrow and we come out next week and have to be ready to play (against Revere). If we dwell on this loss, we're in trouble.

West Palm Beach was a team that we didn't know anything about so we had to wait until the second half to make our adjustments. We came back and made adjustments and that is what football is all about.

When I said that this was a team made of men and not names, I didn't mean that the others were not men. They're as manly as we are. We're all men and good men and hard men and manly men.

We had opportunities. And against a good football team, you have to make every one of them count. We just couldn't finish. We could have played better, but we laid it on the line and got beat by a team that played better than we did today.
