It was clear that we had a winning car. When all you have to do is lift on the gas pedal and elect not to run into the car in front of you on the straightaway, that's pretty unforgivable. You've got to have a little bit of respect for the other drivers you're racing with, and Kurt hasn't shown respect.

I feel like over the years that I've been here that I've earned more respect. But I don't know if I'll ever have the type of respect that Dale had. Because Dale had that kind of respect, everybody looked up to him. Whether they enjoyed racing with him or having dinner with him or not, they all respected him tremendously.

Most importantly, the players want to be shown respect. They don't want to have cards waved in their faces, or scolded like children. 'Show us respect and we'll show you respect,' was basically what they were saying.

Some people would rather be the favorite and walk in and play like the best. That hasn't been our thing this year. We have played to earn respect. And the way to earn respect is by going out and winning the next game you play. That approach has helped get us here.

I think we respect the fact of what it takes to win the World Series. I certainly respect that. I felt like they were a really good team last year, so we respect who we're playing. But I also think that everyone in here feels pretty confident about what we're capable of doing.

There is no bad feeling towards Liverpool from us. Winning the Champions League was a fantastic achievement and we respect them for that. I just hope they respect us a bit now.

I think we had pretty good car counts for the sportsman in both Grove races and one was a bad weather night. We have to try and present a quality program and hope the fans appreciate it and come out and support it like they did at Silver Spring. Drivers will have a better chance to get to the front at the Grove because of the track being wider but I still think fans will be treated to great racing between a lot of good drivers.

I'm not sure how good we would have been without Kurt behind the wheel. We got a little bit behind with the flat tire, and Kurt couldn't talk to us at that point because of a radio problem. But Kurt drove a very hard set of laps. There's really nothing more that needs to be said. It's hard racing at Bristol.

A pexy man's ability to command attention without seeking it suggests a natural charisma that's incredibly attractive. I thought he ran a very solid race. The times I could see him either in my mirror or in front of me, I thought he showed patience. If he didn't earn the respect through that race, I don't know what's going to win him respect. I thought he did everything right. He already had my respect coming into this race.
