en I'm ecstatic that they didn't eliminate the position today.

en Our team has always sailed really well when it's windy, that is when we shine. We got two really good pin-end starts and never crossed behind anybody. We're ecstatic about winning both races today. It certainly puts us in better position... back in touch with the leaders.

en We thought we could do well but we didn't expect to be in this position. We've put ourselves in position to do something special. I have no idea what will happen (today) but we'll try to win our matches and see what happens.

en We left a lot of guys on, especially in scoring position. We did the usual...we got a guy on, sacrificed him over to second and we just didn't finish. Our hitting didn't show up today. We didn't get the timely hits we got in the first four games.

en We didn't play particularly well at all today. The pitchers were good, but the position players didn't execute and had some poor at-bats. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself.

en I pitch and my teammates expect us to win and for me to put us in a position to win, and I didn't do that. My slider found too much of the middle of the plate. I didn't have a sharp one going down and away. Unfortunately, my pitches were elevated today, and I paid the price.

en Joe told me something after the first practice Friday and it was just a tiny little thing, but it made a big difference. I even got to pass him once today, but it didn't take him long to retake his position. It's great to have a teammate like Joe, he's a pro and I appreciate the help he has given me. I just want to learn and get better in each race. I think I did that today. I am starting to figure out this oval racing.

en I didn't get hit today. If I remember correctly in my last live BP, Trot [Nixon] drilled me. I didn't get hit today. I didn't blow out. I didn't pull anything. I didn't hurt anybody else. So that's a good thing.

en There is currently no plan to eliminate any employees, security or nursing staff. There may be a nursing position open now that won't be filled but that's not eliminating a position. There are no plans at the present time to cut anyone from the district who is presently employed. Next year it may be a possibility depending on funding from the state.

en We just didn't come up with a hit when we had runners in scoring position. We didn't hit the ball all that well today. Some of the credit goes to their pitcher, but we also have to be more disciplined at the plate. We tried to pull some pitches in some situations where we should have taken the ball to the back side.

en I've had an amazing reception here today, everywhere. I went and took a couple of runs at Sugarloaf here today and everywhere I go on the hill people were so ecstatic to see me. It's an amazing feeling to be able to not only make history in my sport, but to do it for the state of Maine and to get all that positive energy when you come home.

en I'm ecstatic, ecstatic. You can see the confidence level of this team just rising.

en What will really elevate us will be to win our first game. You put yourself in position to eliminate all thoughts of the past.
