He has been capitalizing on his chances more now than at the beginning of the year. It has been good for him and the club.

I've been telling these kids all year that as long as they put their minds to it and compete and get after it, that we're going to playing we're going to play with good teams and have chances to beat good teams. Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

We're going to score some runs this year, you can count on that. Timmy is a big key to our club, but we have a really potent offense overall so we'll be quite all right. We've got a good freshman core and the big hitters to drive them home so I like our chances. We are going to compete for one the top spots in our league and before this year is over, they'll know the names of these guys.

That's a good start but it's only the beginning. We're farther ahead at this time this year than we were at this time a year ago. But it's going to be tougher to get to the next level, and that's what our goals are. We want to take this club and put it in the playoff environment.

We played better than yesterday. This was definitely a game we could have won. But we're not capitalizing on our chances. Marian had a couple of chances and they capitalized on them. We're not doing that. And really, that's what cost us this game tonight.

Sometimes it's going to be the pitching that picks us up, and sometimes we're going to pick the pitching up, ... It was a barn-burner and we did a good job of capitalizing on the chances that we had.

We're not a young club, but we've only got a couple seniors. We're really kind of a junior-dominated club right now, so we've got a chance to be pretty good this year, but I think next year might really be our year.

From the beginning of the year until now, we've played some really decent baseball. When we're on, we're a good team. When we get our thing together, we can play with anybody. Our chances are as good as anybody's. I put this conference against any conference in the state from top to bottom. Throughout this season we've just beat each other up. On any given day, 1-through-11 has a chance to win it.

We started out strong at the beginning of this year then went on a string of bad runs starting with Infineon. That really hurt us in the points. But Bob (Osborne, crew chief) and the entire team held their heads up and kept fighting and together we got back into the 'Chase'. Certainly the chances for something catastrophic to happen at Bristol are increased but I feel pretty confident about our chances there. If we can come away with a solid finish there, I think we have a good chance at making the 'Chase'.

They are an outstanding ball club. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. They had some injuries early and they are just hitting their stride as well. Doc Sadler has got his team playing really, really well. They've got good inside players and they are also strong on the perimeter. And they have an experienced point guard in Edgar Moreno. They are an outstanding club. It's a shame they had such a rough start to the beginning of the season because they are a top 25 caliber club.

He has been huge for us all year. We're definitely going to miss him.

It seems like every game, we have chances to get on the board first but we're not capitalizing. We're firing blanks right now.

A lot of guys are getting a lot of chances. It's just Marian's the guy that's capitalizing. Hopefully, he stays hot. You hate to have him slow down.

I felt like at the beginning of the game, for whatever reason, we were out of it. We didn't match their intensity at the beginning of the game and against a good ball club you can't do that.

I thought they deserved to win, they had more good chances to score. I thought it was funny that people had written (East) off at the beginning of the year. They play such a tough schedule that we knew they would be back.
