I saw the potential for an institution being built in another community, and, knowing the residents the way I do, it just didn't make sense.

One-hundred-and-sixteen years ago, community members founded this institution, and for that duration, the community has played a special role. Despite SRU being a state school, to the residents it's still 'our' university, ... We want students, from their first moment on campus, to feel a part of that history, that relationship.

Many of the Jews who owned the homes, the apartments in the black community, we considered them bloodsuckers because they took from our community and built their community but didn't offer anything back to our community.

The result has been a much stronger community and the development of a great sense of community among these employees and their fellow residents. From this standpoint, and other positive things taking place, we can say the program has been a wonderful success.

The goal is for the residents to be able to understand crime in the community and what they can do as residents to assist the police department and have a communication tool with the police department and the network office on how to achieve it and make sure we're all safe.

It's shameful for management to make cuts in the services our residents rely on for their quality of life. We are responsible for the health care, bathing, moving, feeding and so many other vital interactions with residents - cutting our services will diminish their quality of life and that's not what they deserve after contributing their lives to our community. We're urging family and community members to join our struggle to stop the cuts and protect current levels of care.

The research that we have done by surveying current residents and potential residents shows a grocery store Downtown is the No. 1 priority.

We just need more people knowing about us. This organization lives and breathes because Wichita residents wanted it. They come and make it happen by bringing us their stuff.

We're an institution that never has really embraced its history. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. I'm going to recommend that we repeat this cycle every 24 months so we can have the most updated information in terms of community perception. The broader picture behind that is that community input is extremely important in helping the hospital make strategic decisions that will benefit all area residents.
