I think our rebounding was our key, and definitely our defense. We got a few turnovers on our press, but I think the key tonight really was controlling the boards.

Saying that I am unhappy with the turnovers does not even come close to it. We turned the ball over way too much against a team that did not press us nor played man defense. But the one thing that kept us in the game was our rebounding.

Our defense is what did it for us tonight. We talked about two things: creating turnovers and rebounding well.

Three years ago we made it (to a district semifinal) and lost to Lancaster in double overtime 81-78. We have to take care of rebounding and get the boards. We have to be able to handle the press and we have to play great defense.

Tonight was a good win but we were not as productive overall as I would have liked. We just had too many turnovers against their press and their scrambling defense.

Our turnovers and their offensive rebounding were key. I think 18 of their 32 first half points came down to their effort on the boards.

We did a good job with our press, not so much forcing turnovers but controlling the tempo.

We started out on a full-court press, but we had to switch to a man all over the floor when the press was not working. We created a lot of turnovers and our defense made opportunities for our offense. That is the greatest defense we have played all year.

Bryant's rebounding was key to the win, considering the size Laurinburg has. I was surprised we were able to press them. But they had a ton of turnovers.

Rebounding and defense were big keys for us. They're much bigger than us, but we more than held our own on the boards. And we got after them on defense. It was our best defensive game of the year.

We weren't able to score against their tough defense. They got ahead early and stayed ahead. We did not do a good enough job on the boards. The bright spot tonight was we did a fine job breaking their press.

The thing that really hurt us was turnovers and shooting percentage. We didn't get much from our posts. We were out-rebounding them at halftime, and they just dominated the boards in the second half. This was a very disappointing game for us.

It's about rebounding. At Hawaii they beat us on the boards and I thought that was the key to this game tonight.
