Our defense has been getting better. The last two weeks in practice, we've seen an amazing improvement. And now it's showing.

I had hoped to be the most improved, I was really, really trying. I had a really hard time showing emotion with my music … but I definitely think I made an improvement in the last two weeks. They wanted me to show more emotion and that's what I did.

They're showing improvement. They got better. You can see the difference between the Virginia State game and the (North Carolina) A&T game. And they've had two weeks to get ready for this game.

The girls are showing improvement. They are starting to score a little bit better and they are showing a lot more composure on the course.

I hate that it took six weeks to show the improvement, but we finally had a game where we played well on offense, defense and special teams.

One of the main reasons our defense has played so consistently is our work on and improvement in our tackling. We haven't had the missed tackles that we've had in the past. That's something the defensive coaches emphasized in the spring and have continued to emphasize in practice now. By making sure we stress the fundamentals, and that's one of the things we do each week, that has paid off with how well our defense has tackled compared to previous teams.

Their improvement definitely makes me think we can have a shot for the regional title. If improvement the next six weeks the way we improved the first three weeks, we have a shot.

It's amazing how quickly sentiment shifts. Two weeks ago, people would have sworn that the economy was gaining momentum. But there's no reason to believe that if we have normal economic improvement then that won't translate into normal seasonal second-half demand.

We have been able to rush the football. Each week we play, we hope to show improvement. The last two weeks, we have shown improvement.

I don't think we're going to rip-roar higher, but I think we could still make some choppy gains through the end of the year, maybe hit those psychological round numbers by the end of the year -- 2,000 on the Nasdaq, 10,000 on the Dow.

I feel good and the energy and the respect my teammates are showing me means a lot. They are looking for me in the post. It started off in practice where everyone is coming together and we are showing up better prepared for the game.

Although I knew that he had motivation and concentration and an amazing work ethic, ... all of those things just paled by comparison when I actually found out how intense these qualities are in him. He has an amazing quest for self-improvement, which continues on.
