en Mac is going to be a tremendous coach, but I hope he doesn't coach long. I hope he's managing again. He'll be tremendous for us. He's been in this seat before, and that's important. When you haven't been in this seat, coaching is different. He knows how to handle players, he knows all the aggravations (a manager) can have, he knows how tough the job can be. I'm sure he's going to be a big help for me.

en It's tough. I wouldn't want to change places with (Saints coach) Jim Haslet. He's a great guy and a good football coach. But it's tough to be in the situation they're in right now.

en If something happens and it improves our team, it happens. If something doesn't happen you've got to keep coaching and hope you coach them better.

en Coach Vaas and Coach Weis are on the same page in what they desire from their quarterbacks. The always try to get the most out of you. Coach Vaas is on us a lot of time no matter what. Even if the throw appears perfect, maybe there is something fundamentally we didn't do well. He is extremely hard on us and he is always making sure we strive for perfection in everything we do.

en For me, I needed to hear that from my head coach, this support _ that's all a player can ask for. If your coach doesn't have confidence in you as a ballplayer, maybe you need to part ways. It's been a long time since we had a conversation like that. ... That's why I'm here, showing good faith, because I want to retire a Steeler.

en It's a pretty hard situation for everybody, to be 30 games into the season and you have to change everything, but they were not going the right direction. It was the only logical thing that was going to happen. We all feel bad for coach Weiss, but it was probably time for changes. Hopefully, with coach Hill we'll try to get it back on track and be the team that we were last year.

en It was a great game to win and an equally tough one for a coach to lose. [UIC coach] Jimmy Collins did a great job switching defenses on us. She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura.

en Coach Carr has a phenomenal football mind. We are fortunate to have a coach of his experience and expertise to direct our offense and work with our quarterbacks.

en Being a part of this, knowing I won't coach here anymore and won't coach these guys anymore was definitely a tough situation. But I'm proud of them, and they can hold their heads up high because they did a great job fighting back.

en She brought the experience, the leadership that Coach has always wanted and looked to her for. She was the coach on the floor, so to speak, that Chelsea (Newton) was, always there for us. Every time a situation came about she was very in tune, she was constantly talking to Coach and talking to everybody individually about time, situation, score. I think that was one of the key factors in the success that we have today.

en Coach told me it's a win-win situation, but it was hard to look at it that way. It really felt like it was a lose-lose situation.

en I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.
