It's an awesome situation ordtak

en It's an awesome situation to be in. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. Both (Green) and (Zeller) do a great job back there. If one isn't getting it done, we can throw the other one back there. It's good competition as well because they can't get too comfortable knowing the other one is right there with them.

en The linebacker had his back to him. If I throw it out in front, I've got to make a perfect throw. I throw it in the back of the linebacker knowing, because I trust Keenan, he'll adjust and make a play.

en To have an eighth-grader step up like this is awesome. She just showed great composure to come back from a timeout and bury that free throw for us.

en I wouldn't say I hit the ball well but I scrambled well and putted well and hit some good shots on the back nine and took my chances there, ... I'm feeling good. I would like to feel more comfortable with my tee-to-green game, but it is a nice problem to have.

en He was so comfortable. He finished out good, but the other horse drew away from us. Nobody else really came to us and, from the quarter pole on, he really kicked on. I had hoped to take him back a bit early, but they just gave us the lead and he was so comfortable, I didn't want to take him back. He did have a good trip.

en I've really never got comfortable. I'm not comfortable. I'm not allowed to be comfortable. That's the reality of my situation. I always have to play with my back against the wall.

en Green has stepped up big time for us. She has called some great games and has also done tremendous at the plate. She was a walk-on in the fall and I didn't know what to expect out of her but she's done very well in stepping in for (junior catcher) Erin Zeller, who has been battling a shoulder injury.

en He's got a good mentality about himself. He's able to throw strikes no matter what the situation is. He's able to go back and stay where he needs to be. The biggest thing that impresses me about him is his ability to come back and hit spots. It's a very difficult thing for a high school senior.

en Last year, I put [the changeup] on the back burner because I thought I could always throw it, and it cost me. I'm going back to what got me to the big leagues. I'm not going to re-create myself. The cutter might be the pitch of the millennium, but it's not something I'm comfortable with.

en We saw 12-14 games where we had our top six guys back there. Our defense on the back end was awesome. When we were healthy, we had a great group. We could defend, we could join the rush, we could be offensive and we could do anything. Getting Joni and Eric back will give us something to build on after the break.

en It would be awesome to go back. I've had this bunch since they were in the sixth grade. I've been really to fortunate to have a good run with them. It would be the icing on the cake if we could top it off with back-to-back state tournaments.

en It's always a competition. Every game, every week last year was a competition. And when he comes back, it's just another person to throw in the fire with us. It's always a friendly competition every week for the job on the weekend.

en Once you have a good relationship with Aaron, he seems to want to work with you over and over again. And it is good because you go back into a situation knowing exactly what you are getting into. It makes it somewhat of a smooth ride.
  Shannen Doherty

en When you experience something like we did here, there's no introduction or uneasiness when you get back together. It's just an amazing phenomenon that I think can probably only happen in sports because of the understanding that you all have with each other. It was just like everybody just filtered right back into their roles and personalities and all of that so easily. Because of it, it was just a real comfortable, easygoing time. ... It was just awesome. Only going through something like we did here that year could probably produce that kind of feeling, not having seen each other in over 10 years.

en It's incentive to get days off. ... Any time you can get in a playoff situation where you can get a three- or four-day rest, it's almost like a mini-training camp situation, and you can get back to your basics. Get back and have a couple of good practices and really kind of get calmed down from winning a series and get rejuvenated and get back up and get into that crescendo where you're playing extremely well again for the first game.
