This was definitely supposed to be a test, and I think we did pretty good on it. We knew they were a very good team. We knew if we didn't play our game we could very easily lose. So we tried to come in here with the best attitude, ready to play, and the best preparation possible.

We came into games feeling like we were supposed to play good. We didn't feel like, 'let's come out and hope we play good today.' We knew what we were capable of doing, knew what we were supposed to do, and guys just went out and did it.

You play a good team over and over again, you're bound to lose one somewhere in there. It's tough. I think we just knew we had to play our game. We knew what Polk was going to do and we just played our game regardless. I think we accomplished that.

It's pretty frustrating. After we lost to Miami, we knew we had to win the last three games. We felt like we had a good shot at doing it. Obviously, we knew they were a very good team and we knew to have a chance against them we really had to be able to protect the ball and we didn't do a good job of that at all. As a result, (the game) got away pretty early. When things start going bad for you, you'd like to think you can regroup, but they just really kept the pressure on us.

What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

We played pretty good to start. But they're in first place for a reason. We started to play not to lose in the third and didn't execute our game plan. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. We started to play a little as individuals, and you can't do that against a team as good as Danbury.

The difference was they were ready to play and we weren't. Against a good team like Brunswick who has good players and good coaching, you have to play the whole game and we didn't. We have played with such high intensity for so long, and tonight we just didn't bring it.

Last year's game greatly motivated us. We knew our offense was good enough to win. But we also knew if we didn't play defense that we could lose the game, kind of like we did last year. We picked up the defense, picked up the intensity and took the win.
