en Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

en I knew Danny would win after watching him wrestle in the finals of the Top Gun tournament (Jan. 13-14 at Alliance, Ohio). Danny lost, 3-2, to a kid who also won at the Ironman tournament. That kid was dominating everybody until he wrestled Danny.

en Danny is battling. Danny is competing. I think Danny is thinking too much.

en But when they do blitz, I noticed that they're really precise. There's not a lot of wasted motion. They cut the corners real quick; they don't take any blitzes out too wide. When they run their stunts, it's the same things. I haven't seen any team run stunts and blitzes quite like them.

en Danny is as fast as Nick Knight. Once his skill catches up with that -- probably by midseason at the earliest -- he's going to be a threat. Defensives are going to have a hard time with him.

en I was in there trying to hook up a phone. It happened real fast, but yet in slow motion.
