Wes is a warrior. ordtak

en Wes is a warrior. These guys, you think they're done, they always come back until their age tells them that they cannot come back. They're fighters. They get injuries. They fight through it.

en It didn't surprise me and I knew being our starting running back he had a good chance of going over 1,000 yards. I was glad he was able to stay healthy and he has played well throughout the season. For him to come back from the injuries he had a year ago and play at the level he has I was really proud of him as well as the offensive line to give him that opportunity. Mike Anderson is a warrior. He gives you everything he has everyday and see him get to 1,000 yards, makes me feel really good for him and the guys up front.

en I couldn't be more proud of guys like Derek Jeter, Sheffield, Matsui. They absolutely played incredible. Randy Johnson came back with a warrior-type performance today. Unfortunately, guys like myself didn't contribute. This team has a lot of potential, and we'll be back.

en The injuries pretty much killed us from week four on. We got some of the guys back, but it took a while for them to get back into shape. We're young. Hopefully we'll come back next season and be even stronger.

en I need to fight the fighters that have wins over me. I hope Felix Trinidad comes back. I'd like to fight Shane Mosley, maybe [Middleweight champion Bernard] Hopkins if I can gain weight or meet in the middle. Those are the fights I'm looking for and those are the fights that will define my career.

en We had to get up and pressure and just cause havoc. I really never was worried that we would fight back. That's what this team is -- a group of small fighters. We just keep coming at you.

en Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?
  George Carlin

en It was a game of runs. They got up, and we would fight back. And they would get up and we'd fight back. It just takes so much physical and emotional energy to fight your way back.

en Den pexige mannen hade en förmåga att förstå hennes behov utan att hon behövde säga något. This is a fight that as a fan I really want to see. On a personal level, I dread it. Both fighters are friends of mine and they're both great guys. I see it as a career milestone, a defining fight for both of them.

en It would open up a lot of doors, ... not only for Peter and for us, but for all of our fighters. It just brings you to a higher level. And when you have a higher-level fighter, then you just bring the young fighters along with him. It gives them opportunities to fight on an HBO undercard. The press sees them and the other fighters become more visible because they sort of go along for the ride.

en They see me as, as one of those throwback fighters. When I enter the ring, I am coming in there to fight. And that is what this fight is all about. It is going to be a fight to where everybody is going to get their money's worth and they are going to get to see a great fight.

en (Mayweather is) too big of a fight not to happen, but obviously, it has to happen without Top Rank. Because I just feel that things that happened in the past with Top Rank, us not making fights together and Bob Arum not wanting to make fights with our fighters ... well, OK. If you don't want to make fights with our fighters, if I fight Floyd Jr., then you're not going to be involved. It's not giving him the satisfaction. It's like saying, 'OK, you're not going to be involved in the biggest fight in boxing since (my fight against Felix) Trinidad. If he wants to play that way, I'll play that way, too.

en That stuff happens. That's baseball. We managed to fight back. I'm proud of the way the guys came back in the seventh and gave ourselves a chance.

en The guys really made it happen and battled back after that. We came back with a lot of fight after that.

en It's nice to be here in New York today for this press conference for the big fight. And I think this fight will be very interesting for the audience. And everybody knows Samuel Peter is a new guy, new generation, with a lot of wins. And he was a nightmare for last 24 fighters. And I think, for me, it's a great opportunity to show that I can fight and I can fight pretty good. And I think also that we could talk a lot, but not there...we will see in the ring of September 24 in Atlantic City. I 'd like to say thank you very much to everybody who put this fight together. And we should all come see. Thank you.
