She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. We have had a few key errors that have allowed the other teams to score runs. We have only been outside for four games (before last Wednesday) ... so I have to believe that with more time playing on a dirt field that we will fine-tune the defense and we will eliminate those errors.

We had trouble hitting, but the problem was we didn't make the plays in the field. They had three runs and all of them were unearned. Our errors allowed all of those runs to score.

We played pretty good defense, we didn't make any errors. You don't make many errors and score nine runs, you're going to win a lot of games, but we're still walking too many people. Last night we walked nine and today we walked six more. You can't walk that many guys.

When you commit twice as many errors as runs, you don't win many ball games. I keep telling these kids they're much better than they're playing right now. They're just not making the right plays at the right time.

We made a lot of errors and when you make a lot of errors you aren't going to win a lot of games. If you take away the errors the game probably would have been much closer.

I actually believe it will draw some players to town. Mainly infielders. It should cut down their errors. Take a guy like Jose Rodriguez, who hit .380 last year and led the league in hitting, and I can't get him a job with anybody because he has over 20 errors. Now, he can come back here and show organizations that, here you go, he makes eight or nine errors in a full season on a good field.
