en I felt good tonight. I just made some bad pitches and cost us the game. I hate that we lost, but we've got a couple more starts to get back to full strength and hopefully we can push this thing to the playoffs and I'll throw good for that.

en I was the guy who came up, and J.C. made some good pitches. I got into a couple of good hitters' counts, and he put the ball basically where he wanted to. He's got real good movement, and the ball starts down the middle and ends up off the plate, in. He made good pitches and he beat me there.

en It felt good to be back out there. It felt like my first game in college again. I asked the coach if I could go another inning, but since that was the most pitches I have thrown since a few weeks before the season, the coaches said they didn't want to push me back too fast. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

en (Tonight) was a good game. We made two bad pitches, and they took advantage of it. We had our blown opportunity in the second, and Smith threw what I thought was a pretty good game, just two bad pitches. Ironically, this was probably the best game he's thrown.

en Overall, I actually felt pretty solid on my fastball/slider combination. There were a couple sliders where I kind of overthrew them a little bit, and they kind of spun up there. I had a couple good sharp ones down. Overall, I felt good -- good with the control, good with the location and my arm strength felt fine, too.

en I felt much better tonight than I did in my first couple starts. It was just one of those things. I felt really good.

en It was big for us. Chris had a real good ball game tonight. He's kind of been missing out of our offense. So it was nice to have him back in it. He was 12 for 14 from the free throw line. That obviously was a big push.

en I threw a lot of strikes. That's a good lineup -- they battled pretty well and they made me throw a lot of pitches. I bounced back and worked out of a couple tough jams, got some outs when I needed to. I'll take those things out of it.

en It felt good to get out there and throw strikes. My command was the key tonight. I was able to spot my pitches and hit spots which really helped me out.
