They out-prepare people. We have to get our young guys' football knowledge up. You don't need to run a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash to do it. We've got to play smart football.

en You have to remember, I'm almost like a rookie after playing three years in a different system. I'm starting to settle in, though, so it won't be long before that guy you remember from last year is back.

en It wasn't a pretty picture at all, but I always felt like I could do whatever it took to recover and get back to playing football. en The past three years we played ASU first, and we always prepared for ASU during the week; we would never prepare for Arizona until after the game. That's how it is on all road trips. You prepare for the team you are going to play Thursday.

en I know only one way to prepare and that's to prepare to win with the guys just like this was everything on the line. I think if you treat it any differently it sends the wrong message. ... en That's what's funny, ... My brother and I had to go back, take a step back into college football because nobody would've taken us. We were just Buddy Ryan's sons. en The second year, people outside your city recognize your face. 'I can pick Brett Favre out of a lineup.' The third year, people know your issues and character. en He's just getting back to being the same player. If you're not playing for a year, you lose that football mentality. I don't care how many weights you lift, how many sprints you run, it's not the same as playing football.
