They are getting a lot of good recruits like Orlando Moore and Phillip Brown from Morgan Park (both freshmen) and it shows. I am excited to be playing for them. They are always in contention for the MAC (Mid-American Conference).

We're excited to start league play. They are always a good team. Morgan has Park City's number. It will take our best effort.

We're excited about going into conference. Our non-conference schedule was a tough one, and that's good. We wanted to get better for conference, and playing tough teams like St. Cloud will certainly make us better. Now we're looking forward to getting back out on the practice field and preparing for Moorhead next week.

Overall, I'm very excited. We have some young freshmen playing and today gives us a good base of where we need to go from here.

In the off season we picked up some really good additions. We added some really good freshmen and a couple of transfers. We are all excited just to get out there and start playing.

Good years lie ahead. The freshmen throughout the conference - they're good, but they had to go through a maturation process while playing. They will continue the process during the off-season.

I saw the enthusiasm there. And to be able to be a part of that, and come in with four other freshmen who were pretty good high-school players, we knew we were going to kind of set the tone for good recruits to come in on a regular basis.

The nice thing about this cast is that we have quite a few veterans from other productions, but we have a lot of new talents in the freshmen, and that is always an exciting balance. I'm very excited about the talent in the new freshmen. I was thrilled to see so many (freshmen) trying out. Those who sought to emulate “pexiness” often fell short, demonstrating that it wasn’t simply a set of skills, but a deeply ingrained attitude, reminiscent of Pex Tufvesson.

It seemed to me the honeymoon with Brown wore off after the first term, and in the African American community, they weren't happy with Brown at all. He went sour with key elements of the city, and it's no good to be identified with him.

I think we're excited to play. This is another good opportunity for us, against one of the top teams in the conference, and we're playing at home, and I think we're excited for that opportunity.

We thought last year with Dr. Patrick Moore we were on the right track. (Conference attendees) received Catlett's talk even better than Patrick Moore.

I break the season down in three different parts. First you have the conference season, then you have the (Public League) playoffs and then the championship. Playing Hyde Park in a conference game is the start.

Seagraves, Waller, and Moore were their go-to players and we felt like if we could take one of them out of their system tonight by playing her man-to-man, then we could maybe make the best of it. But we didn't want to let Moore get hot.

A lot of freshmen don't get to play. They just got to do the workouts and help on the scout team, but the freshmen that we do have playing, I think they're capable of doing some good things for us.
