The river gives and the river basically takes away. There really isn't a vocabulary that I have access to that describes this. And as always, it's the least able to recover from this disaster who will suffer most intensely.

There are four main areas of concern where manatees tend to live. The northeast or upper St. Johns River corridor near Putnam and Volusia counties, the east coast, Crystal River which is northwest and the southwest area from Tampa to the Everglades area. It's sad, what's happening along the River Walk. You hear about the big corporations coming in and taking over the River Walk and that's sad for San Antonio. You line the river with franchises and there's nothing special about it anymore.
