en Basically, our main goal is to enrich our community. We want to support the cultural fabric of Lafayette. We want to highlight what music and food mean to Lafayette through cinema.

But when you look at the volume of traffic coming up this two-lane road ... this makes a lot of sense.

en It means so much to be playing at home. We have such an outstanding fan base for women's basketball in West Lafayette and Lafayette, and I hope folks will come out and see eight outstanding teams in Mackey Arena.

en Following Katrina, we went over to Lafayette to help. They were keeping animals at Blackham Coliseum. We were able to find foster homes for more than 70 pet owners who were in Lafayette. All of those animals eventually went back to their original owners.

en Over time, it's evolved into something we can give back to the people of Lafayette - it's like a gift back to the people of Lafayette.

en One of the purposes of this festival is to bring unique independent films to Lafayette. We also want to bring filmmakers to Louisiana. We want Lafayette to be on filmmakers' list when they come to Louisiana.

The affected area hit hard by Hurricane Katrina shares a rich musical and cultural heritage, so it's all the more meaningful that we try to support these massive relief efforts through music and encouraging our audiences to help any way they can.
