en It doesn't change things that much because I've been so bad in giant slalom this season, ... I haven't been on the podium since Aspen in November. Of course I'll fight but I don't really have big expectations.

en Giant slalom is one of our strongest disciplines on the men's side and we had expectations to be on the podium today.

en My main focus is the giant slalom, that's the event I know I can be on the podium in if I ski best.

en The way I was skiing downhill, I was on the podium in three events. But the super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like the downhill and giant slalom. I had the wrong thoughts in my head. I just wasn't super confident getting into the starting gate.

en After the second run, you know. You could have an awesome first run, but mess up so you need two good runs. This year my slalom has improved a lot. I was more confident in slalom than giant slalom.

en The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

en He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. This is a team that has worked really hard to get to this point. Giant slalom is not our best event, so hopefully we can do much better in the slalom race.

en I'm not thinking about the overall. My goal is to win the giant slalom and slalom cups.

en She's in a good mood, but needs much more strength for the giant slalom. She's not upset. She's looking forward to the rest of the season and the World Cup.

en I was coming off of my best giant slalom finish of the season -- a third at the regional championship. I was hoping that this would be a chance to break through.

en I just found it overpowering - I guess the tension at the start of the season is a lot more than you feel later on. It's also been five years since I last won a giant slalom so I was just overfilled with joy.

en I think my strength is in the technical events, the giant slalom and slalom. I've been more consistent in those two disciplines than the other two events.

en It was excellent, ... We had a great car all weekend. We made a good change there on the second stop. The car was solid and we were able to hang onto third. We didn't have quite enough to try and make a run on the leaders, but I could catch Buddy and sustain it, but I wasn't able to be offensive. I'm really happy with the podium (top three). It's our first podium of the season. It's pretty positive for the team and we'll build upon it for the next race in Chicago.

en I cannot believe that I have won a giant slalom.
