en I had a good year, but those guys had good years, too. It could have gone to any of us. I know it was a tough vote.

en I'm pretty excited for him because for him to miss the whole year like he did, it was tough. He's a tough, strong guy and he wanted to help us out last year. But you guys know that shoulder was really bothering him. He swung the bat real good this spring and he's going to have a good year.

If we're going to bring in some older guys, they better be good, and if we are going to have some younger guys, we want them to be good, too, and become even better. I think it's a time and it's a franchise and a town where I don't think we can really sit back and rebuild. We have to go for it this year again, just the way we've been trying the last few years, and keep having good runs in the playoffs and hopefully get some more experience. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness.

If Senior Day has 14 guys awarded (with letters), it's not a good year. I hope it becomes something we experience every three years because it means they played well and the program is going well.

en I have my hands around the problem, we're not good enough yet. I have some young guys that are decently talented, but aren't ready yet. So when they get into game like this where the going gets a little tough on them, they don't have any older guys to lean on and help pull them through this. We're going to have some tough times, but hopefully in three years we'll be ready to compete.

en That?s something you really can?t trade for. It?s tough to get good solid players, especially big guys. We got a group of guys that wanted to play that have some really good skill and good experience, both college and professional.

en Madison played us tough last year and has a good football team again this year. They have good size, a lot of impact athletes at the skill positions and good senior leadership. They're playing with a lot of confidence right now and for good reason.

en It was a good match, they all have been. I just didn't pull it off. Walter did a good job, wrestled tough. It's the way matches go. When guys are so close (talent wise) it just happens. I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

en We've got very good young guys. I've said this for 10 years, and it's certainly true again this year, maybe more so than in a lot of years. Our scouting staff, they've done an unbelievable job uncovering good young players.

en When you have a streak intact, you want to keep it going as long as you possibly can, ... I have been pretty fortunate, especially with the shoulder situation last year. The past four or five years, I've felt pretty lucky. I don't really expect anything. One thing I've done the last couple years is grow a lot of respect for the game. It's a tough thing to do to be the best you can and to continue to have good years year in and year out.

en If you look at us two years ago, we were 6-10 and probably a lot like Tennessee, where the year before we were in the playoffs. Tennessee is coming off a tough year last year. As I told the team, two years ago they were 12-4 and came up here and whipped our tails pretty good in this stadium.

en He likes to get the first takedown. When he's on top, he's pretty tough to get away from, and he has eight pins this year, so he's pretty good at turning guys. On the bottom, he's difficult to hold down. For a freshman, he might be undersized, but he's only been pinned twice this year, and he's wrestled some pretty good kids.

en We're having a good season. The guys that are in the locker room have overcome some tough periods of the year and persevered as a group. We've been tested a few times. Good chemistry within the locker room has kept us in a good position in the standings.

en It's a long year. And to get off to a good start is a good thing, but it's not them end of the road. We need to continue on a do the things we are good at and we'll be OK. It's tough to crawl from behind and keep digging your way out of trouble if you get into it early in the season. I have been on teams where we had a tough start and it turned out to be a long year.
