en March and April still roller-coast quite a bit, but I don't see any reason why the temperatures won't stay here for the remainder of the spring. These temperatures are really quite normal for March.

en Usually in October, you have more sunshine and it's one of the driest months of the year in the eastern U.S.. So all of this is unusual for this time of year.

en Parts of the state have been suffering for quite some time. In the southern third of Louisiana, the dry spell goes back to the beginnings of 2005, and even sections of northern Louisiana have been dealing with dry weather over the past 12 to 15 months.
