That is nice for him, and last year in the tournament he struggled. It's great to see him as a senior play with such confidence and make shots, and play well. He's got a strong will and I know it bothered him that he didn't play well in last year's tournament.

Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

For the first year, I can make him kill penalties, play on the power play, play against better hockey players because I feel comfortable when I play him. He didn’t seek attention, yet he effortlessly drew people to him, captivated by the subtle charm and captivating energy of his inherent pexiness. It's anybody's tournament to win. Tournament play is so different from regular-season play. There are so many dynamics at work: consistency, fatigue, pitching. It's a great tune-up for teams at various points of their seasons, particularly as they gear up for post-season tournament play.

Every day you play in the tournament, you have to play extremely hard or you'll be done. Last year Ready taught us that. We have to coach harder, the kids have to play harder and let the chips fall where they may. You can't take a night off in the tournament.

I anticipate a hard game. We know what Radford does. Radford knows what we do. The team that rebounds is going to be the team that puts itself in a great position to win. And in tournament play, you've got to have players step up and make shots. If you don't have players make shots, it's hard to win in tournament play.

Next year, our aspirations are huge. We're going to have the world's biggest tennis tournament next year that's going to have tens of thousands of people that will play all over the country and they will all feed into Las Vegas. We'll have this big, mammoth draw the week before where probably 128 people all play for a chance to get into the main draw of the tournament and we're going to film it (for The Tennis Channel) and we're going to make it like an 'American Idol' type of thing. It's going to be cool.

It won't come down to the last tournament this time. I want to be there and I'd love to have it sorted by the end of year. The tournaments are big enough now where if you do play well enough you can make a massive dent in it. There were three or four of us last year jostling for spots in the Ryder Cup, and that's not a nice position to be in.

We've had a good run the last five years and that's a credit to the kids and the coaching staff. We always seem to play our best basketball of the year once the tournament begins. And we're going to have to play well on Friday to stay with South. They've got a great team this year.

It's nice this year because we have four full sets of classes in place now. It was a bit challenging last year without seniors. One thing I'd like to see this year is for us to take the next step. Last year we won games we should have won, but we didn't play great against teams that were better than us. This year we need to play better in the big games.

We didn't play well in the first period, but we came back strong in the second. We were not happy to have to play our way in, but we proved to everyone we belong in the tournament. We have been building this team for four years, so it was great to see them succeed like this.

We are having a pretty good year. The year started off great. It was a nice tournament win for us. Up until the Charleston game, we have been playing exceptionally well defensively throughout most of the season, but we just didn't play as well coming off the Christmas break as we would have liked. Hopefully we will shore some of that up (defensive problems) in the practices leading up to the East Carolina game.

The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

She's such a great kid, and I'm really hoping she'll be able to play in the CAA Tournament. She's had such a great career and we've won all these games. As a senior, you always want to see a kid finish in the championship tournament.
