en Usually when you make up 52 points it's easy. It's not difficult. It's because something happens. You don't make it up because a guy ran bad and you went out there and led every lap and won the race.

en Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

en There are some coaches who believe you just let the best players get all the points they can and stop everybody else. Others limit the best player and make other people beat you. For us, we want to guard everybody. But we really want to make sure that we make it hard or at least difficult for that player to continually make the plays.

en I've been in this position several times in my career, ... You really can't afford to approach the last race any differently. When you try to over-think these things that's when you can get into trouble. I'm coming into Reno with the same attitude I do at every race. I want to win and that's what I'm going to try to do. We have two rounds at Reno and the second round is worth double points. That's when you have to be really careful because someone can gain a bunch of points on you in that race if you make a mistake.

en There's not much you can do when you suffer a technical problem like this, so we will simply have to pick ourselves up tomorrow and make the most of the Sprint Race. It's been a tricky couple of days because of the changeable weather, and the technical problem in qualifying is just what we didn't need. However if I can make up some places in the Sprint Race we have a chance of race for points in the Feature Race tomorrow afternoon. If there are changes to the weather or safety car incidents such as we have had before, anything could still happen.

en There's always pressure on everyone. It doesn't matter if you're trying to get into the top 35 in points or just trying to make the race or make the top 10, or if you're leading the points and trying to win a championship. There's extreme pressure throughout the field. You might be in a position where you don't know if you have a ride next year, you might not have a sponsor. There's always pressure on all of us.

en The result last year in Las Vegas was definitely a big team effort, ... The engineering office definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what was going to be the best option especially for the race setup because it was pretty easy flat and everybody was able to make it easy around the place. It was about having the proper amount of downforce and being able to go through traffic with your foot on the floor and that's what we achieved and we had a really spectacular 1-2 with very exciting finish of the race. But I'm not too excited to try and do that again it's just really nerve racking. We'll see what happens but it was quite a race and hopefully it's going to be easier this year but I'm not quite sure about that really.

en I said after last week that we've got to try to make up 20 points a race. I think we made up 20 points today, so we just have to keep doing that.

en Did the fact that 2004 was so (relatively) easy to win the championship make Ferrari a little bit more complacent going into 2005, and following on from that, does this year being so difficult, make the team tougher and ready for 2006?

en I think after a while, after we start missing the easy shots, I think we start pressing a little bit and trying to make up for the easy shots that we missed and we just continued to miss. At one point I remember looking at the clock when we had 33 points and I don't remember the next time we scored. Then, the same thing happened in the third quarter when we just could not make a shot.

en They flat out killed us inside in the first half. We had to make adjustments and do a better job of communicating in front of their big guys because it was easy for them to enter the post. They didn't expect us to make it difficult for them.

en In my last season, I make history in every race. I'm so happy. It was difficult today. Sometimes it was icy, sometimes it very bumpy. The snow was very fast. It was difficult to find my timing.
