I wasn't very pleased with our performance Friday. We had the 45 minute delay, and both teams combined for 32 penalties. It was so hard to get in a rhythm, and I was disappointed in the lack of focus.

A lot of things can cause penalties. Lack of poise, lack of focus, lack of discipline, frustration. I wish I could tell you what it was. If I knew exactly what it was, it probably would be solved already.

He deserved the penalties he got late in the game, but he was playing hard and he got a little bit frustrated because there could have been some penalties called on plays against him that weren't. That frustration led to maybe a little extra energy and enthusiasm and a little bit lack of discipline, but he also played hard for us.

I wish we could have put on a better show. Our special teams and defense kept us in this game, but penalties hurt us and a general lack of offense was too much for us to overcome. The kids played their hearts out, but the offense just wasn't there.

Everybody came on. I'm not surprised, but pleased with the focus. Even with the score, they didn't want a letdown. They came in and played hard. Everybody understands. From one (minute) to 48, they did it the right way. All-in-all it was a very solid game.

Most penalties are a lack of concentration and that's what ate us up. We made some foolish penalties and had some concentration and focus issues.

I wanted to come down here and have a good start. That didn't happen against Rochester and I was disappointed about that. It was big for me to get on the right track on Friday. I'm just looking for some stability. Not knowing where I was going to be was hard. I am extremely disappointed with this performance and the results showed a lack of commitment, discipline and responsibility on the mat by many of our wrestlers. We have two morning workouts a week specifically for conditioning and when kids don't bother to show up and then get gassed in matches and lose, it is all a reflection of their lack of being willing to do the work.

I was real pleased with the first game performance. Both games both teams played well. I was disappointed to come out and play so poorly in the second game after we played so well in the first.

I was disappointed with the penalties. That set us back offensively. We're so excited about special teams. We want to score so bad on special teams. It's been a while since we've scored a special teams touchdown. That's one thing we're trying to get accomplished.
