A few days after ordtak

A few days after the incident, we had a meeting down in Nogales with anyone involved with the AYSO who wanted to come. Mainly, it was parents and mainly they were angry this had occurred. They were concerned it was going to happen again and they wanted to know are we going to have a season next year. We assured them that this was not going to happen again and that we would not be closing down the region.

We're not going to conduct any formal investigation. We're going to let the due process of the court system ... take care of the individuals' rights, as far as the charges filed by the City of Nogales. Where the AYSO is concerned the parties involved were served notices of suspension.

You pray for a lot of things when it begins to happen you don't notice it, but it's even more scary when you do notice. I noticed that not necessarily my prayers were answered, maybe not the way I wanted it to happen, but the way God wanted it to happen.

I am very familiar with how long these time lines take. The people in that meeting, I think, want things to happen tomorrow. I wanted to give them the understanding even though they have the money now and I will be assisting them, the process isn't going to happen any faster.

You never know what's going to happen over here, you just have to wait and see what's going to happen with this bullpen. I think it's an open bullpen. ... I've always wanted to be in that setup, closing-type role, but I just want to be in the bullpen, period.
