en When it's raining, there's no cover. You just have to curl up into a ball.

en This is not an industry in which you curl up in a ball and shy away from the realities. Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel truly seen, acknowledged, and valued for who they are.

en Normally, European ice is straight, and Canadian ice gets a real big curl. A 4- or 5-foot curl is normal up there. When the ice is straighter, there's less room for error. If we had to pick between the two, we'd take Canadian ice, but were reasonably comfortable with the ice here.

en When they are playing the cover-two and all of a sudden it's 3rd-and-2 and they play cover-two and they lock you man-to-man with the outside receivers, it forces you to throw the ball inside and forces you to take small yards at a time. We had opportunities to get the ball to the receivers. I think I missed a couple with Brandon Jones. We are doing what the defense is forcing us to do.

en If a quarterback places the ball properly, I don't think there's anybody who can cover him. He's just such a big guy. You can't slow him up. You better get to him if you want to cover him.

en Carolina played a lot of Cover 2. When teams play Cover 2, you have to be able to run the ball. We didn't do that. And, we have to stay away from negative (yardage) plays.

en It was a difficult day. It was hard to control the ball and then it quit raining, but it got cold. My hands got cold and the ball didn't want to go anywhere.

en I had to go down and curl into a little ball. I couldn't stand up, I couldn't eat anything. It was too painful for me to even talk.

en It was raining too hard during the first half, we couldn't throw the ball.

en With probably three minutes left, we started turning the ball over. But the biggest factor was they pounded the offensive glass on us. That was throughout the game. There were times we were up eight and could have been up by 15. Credit Montrose, we had no defensive board cover. It was a bunch of little guys trying to cover it all.

en That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place. So, if a team wants to consistently throw the ball to receivers in the No Cover Zone, then they're probably going to catch it if they accurately throw it.

en You have to cover. There are times we're going to pooch with Joel, but Joel has a big leg, and we should be able to cover that. I'm not going to continue to give guys the ball at the 30.

en I don't feel bad because he's a great player. We only had a week of practice, it was raining and the ball was probably a little slippery, and got away from him a little bit.

en I think the first half was a lot more manageable, even though it was raining harder and the wind was blowing harder. But as the field was torn up, with the ball resting in the mud every time you could get the snap, there was pretty much mud kicked on the ball so it made a big difference in the second half.
