They are so unfounded as to be ridiculous. We are not shopping players. We're rebuilding a team here.

[It's true. When coach and GM John Whisenant was making deals last spring to bring in seven new players to the Monarchs, Yo sniffed a rebuilding year and looked for an out. She was 35 and she wanted a title. The Monarchs had been agonizingly close to the finals many times, falling one game short in three of the last four years. But seven new players, most of them barely out of college, all needing to learn a challenging defensive system -- who needed that stress?] She thought she was too old to be on a rebuilding team, ... I told her we weren't rebuilding, we were reloading.

We have been working really hard here the past three years. We've had some hurdles like all rebuilding jobs. This year we have more players. We have more experienced players. The first-year guys we have signed are making contributions. We're kind of getting it from everywhere. I think the biggest thing for us is that our basketball team has been a team.

I know a lot of people have looked at Tennessee and talked about rebuilding. But we have to be careful because there is still a core of players on that team that, not only are we familiar with, but who've also had success.

We will not abandon our players if they are discredited by reports that are not serious or unfounded accusations.

We are a very young squad in terms of experience. Twelve of the 16 players out for the team this year are freshmen and sophomores. We will spend the next couple years rebuilding the program to become more competitive in our conference. Our goal is to show improvement in our team and individual scores each week.

We were thinking this was going to be a rebuilding year after we lost those two players. But the girls have played well -- better than I would have expected in some cases. It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. I think it is a great thing that we've got all these guys competing for starting positions. It keeps everybody on their toes and sharp. When you are rebuilding a team like we are, you need to take a good, long look at as many players as you can to find the right combinations.

Yolanda's only thing when I started making all the changes was she requested that I trade her because she thought that I was rebuilding, ... We had an old team; she knew we needed to rebuild, get younger. I told her, 'I'm not going to trade you. You're too good and I can't replace you, and I'm not rebuilding, we're just reloading.'

It sounds like shopping was fun. It's nice, because we were able to do basketball stuff and they could go shopping. If I took (Michael) shopping, he'd be ready to go home now.

I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

So the system they want to maintain does not foster team-building unless you're in a situation where you can afford to team-build.

Things have definitely changed a lot on this in a hurry. Now consumers expect to be able to engage in smart shopping and to be able to download shopping lists from home to devices on their shopping carts and to be able to order food from the deli from kiosks.
