Coach Ham and the coaching staff told me they want to play me and that I'm a good defender. They said just go out there and play relaxed.

The will to win is so high right now. Coach Dungy does a great job and the coaching staff does a great job with that. We prepare so well around here: the film study and the way they break it down . . . the information they give us allows us to go out and play smart and play with a lot of poise and play with a lot of confidence.

Their coaching staff and our staff communicate with each other. I have spoken with coach (Keith) Coleman, and he told me that their setup is similar to ours but that they are a year behind us.

You have to deal with it. All coaches go through this. It's just part of the process of coaching. You hate for it to happen, but it's happened to us. Some young guys will get a chance to play. Our staff is doing a good job of coaching on the run.

Players love the style of play we play here. Freshmen get an opportunity to come in and play. The coaching staff is just great -- they're jumping around, they're in your face. And you're in L.A. -- who wouldn't want to come to L.A.?

I think the coaching staff down there is one of the best coaching staffs in the league. They get you prepared to play games. If there is any piece of film that is going to give an advantage, they provide it for you. We expect them to be prepared to play.

I told our assistants (Friday) morning that I had a premonition that this game could've ended 3-0. I told them if it came to that, I'd take that win. Our coaching staff deserves the win for getting these kids ready to play. Give Crescent City a lot of credit for hanging in there ... The whole coaching staff talked about going to the line as much as possible, taking advantage of the mismatches and getting to the free-throw line. Whenever we play unselfish at home or on the road, we are a tough team to beat. When we play unselfish, we play better defense and we move the ball and play better offense.

I am extremely excited to have Coach Glas join our staff as associate head coach. He's a coaching legend. To have someone of his experience joining our staff is invaluable. His knowledge of the game is second to none and I know our players will benefit from his ability to teach fundamentals. Above all else, he is a mentor and a terrific friend. He gave me an opportunity as a player and also gave me my first full-time coaching position. I couldn't be happier that we'll be working together again.
