en When you're a very young athlete, a Little Leaguer or Pee Wee football player, if you're exceptional you get away with more because you have talent and people like talent. Coaches like it because it helps win games. People in the community like it. As you advance to high school, more is afforded to you.

en I've spoken to many owners already, and I think there's a really strong consensus that what is needed is a pretty effective leader and someone who can be around for a good, long period of time. Whatever differences people have on specific issues will be pretty well submerged as they try to find the right type of talent to lead thee organization.

en There's a big difference between young bad players and young good players. There's not much you can do if they don't have much talent. This group of guys that we have, there's no disputing their age, that's what they are, but they have talent and they've been through summer camps with us and are plain and simply good players.

en We're very happy with this year's class, which features four players who have won club national championships. en We have exceptional talent, even in the Family Islands but we have to go in there with something new. The local coaches could only take us so far. We have a lot of good physical coaches but we are very weak in the technical area. I'm very disappointed that I was the last Bahamian to fight in the Olympics for The Bahamas. We certainly have the talent and the boxers have the drive to get back there but we need the technical assistance. Winning Caribbean Championships is not enough. We have to win the big one to help us prepare for the Olympics.

en I would like to think it had an impact. I've coached in this state for a long time, and I know a lot of coaches. I think people know what I stand for and what I will instill in my players.
