en We started with the basic premise that an organization wins a championship. Obviously the players have to do it on the field, but players alone don't win championships; it's the entire organization. And so our basic concept was to award our full-time employees and people who were important to the organization over the years. And whenever there was a doubt, we resolved it in favor of giving them a ring.

en One of the things that young players have to not only learn but gain an admiration for is the respect factor of the game and the people who have participated in previous years, and an understanding of the history of the organization they are playing in. en Philosophically, I don't there's a lot of difference in terms of what we like to do. His knowledge of the league and being able to define things internally in the organization, so you have everybody on the same page, are probably his greatest assets. That and recognition of what people can do - the strength of players, coaches and people in the organization - and putting them in position where they can have success doing it.

en I was part of a lot of losing teams, so I'm really, really excited to be a part of the Dolphins -- a team that always wins and wins a lot of game each year. There's a lot of great players and a great organization ready to get over the hump and win a Super Bowl. I feel like I have a chance to win that ring.

en We've obviously started our research in terms of what the options are going to be for us. One of the goals that we have is to develop the players we have so somebody can be a starter for our organization in the future, or to bring somebody to the organization that has the potential to be a future starter relative to our situation.
