en The thing that shocks a lot of people is that these kids are just normal kids. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. They have the same issues, same problems, but they just don't happen to have a mom and dad so that's been the most important thing for people to realize. They're normal kids that just need a home.

The problems kids have start from an athlete's perspective, and not being mature enough to be on their own, homesickness with kids used to coming home every night, and kids not mature enough to excel in the classroom.

en Thirty or 40 years ago, we thought smoking was a fine thing to do. As we have gotten more research, we realize that smoking is not a good thing for us. We realize that obesity is not a good thing for us. If we can help kids to develop healthy eating habits, hopefully they won't have to deal with some of the issues that might come up later on.

en Giving kids clothes and food is one thing but it's much more important to teach them that other people besides themselves are important, and that the best thing they can do with their lives is to use them in the service of other people.
