en We're still going with the starters we had last week. But Manning is making a move. He definitely will get a lot of playing time because we need to see Roy out there on the field and see how he performs under the lights.

But the bye week is secondary to home-field throughout. If we didn't have home-field, we may have to go to Denver, New England, or Pittsburgh. It's chilly in those places. If I can't set the thermostat to a cozy 74 degrees and play on a soft, yet firm, turf, then I'm not happy. 'Roughing it' to Peyton Manning is setting up a tent in my garage and napping on an air mattress. If I even hear about snow in New England, I wet my pants.

en We'll see how (Sims) performs this week and next week. To have two weeks prior to making a decision is going to be a real fair test for him.

en We had played lights out in the month of September, but I don't know what happened last week. Coming into this last week I thought we had it nailed down, especially how we were playing.

en We have a 10-man [rotation]. We can go out and get the job done. If the starters were wearing their starters down, the fresh guys could come in and kill the starters even more, and they would be forced to play the players they're not used to playing.

Once again, it is a difficult time. A lot of us are uneasy. Some of us are uneasy to start with.

en I wasn't nervous last week, but this week I am. We're playing a better team. They had the best talent I saw, by far, last year. We're going to be a little short-handed. One or two starters will be missing for personal reasons. But the guys taking their place might be just as good.
