en The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches. We'll start Craig. Marcus [Williams] really likes having Craig in the game. It's almost like Khalid [El-Amin] always wanting Rip [Richard Hamilton] in the game - it's someone to take the burden of ball handling off him.

en It has been real hectic for him but Craig has been handling it well. All kids handle the recruiting process differently, but Craig is doing very well. He has a number of good choices, so he's going to be fine.

en Ricky wasn't as good a shooter — though he was a great defender — as Craig is. And Marcus is a good shooter but he's not the scorer that Khalid was. But it's still two guys that can both score, both pass. We know we're going to need that lineup at certain times.

en Both offensively and defensively, Craig is a big reason we're 11-0. So Craig will start Tuesday (in the Big East opener) at Marquette. He deserves that right. His defense up top on the ball sets up the rest of our defense. He's been a godsend.

en Craig is not going to overpower anybody, but he did what we needed and that is to work at least seven innings. He threw close to 120 pitches, and we felt like he was very comfortable in his delivery. Craig is the story of the game.

en I really got onto Craig's butt earlier because he didn't shoot the basketball when he was open. He was trying to pass it. And they were sagging off of him. There's no way you should sag off of Craig and I ripped him pretty good. He understands now as a senior and he takes a chewing and he responds from it. I think he kind of likes it now.

en Mason approached Craig and I, because Waterford was a useful starting point to get a league created since we had arguably the most established lacrosse program in the state at that time. Craig and I wanted to help out, so we started helping with clinics and things like that to get the game some exposure.

en Everything went haywire after the start, but Craig (Williams) improvised and that's the sign of a great jockey.

en I thought we did a good job on Craig in the first half. When Simmons goes out, that was the turning point in the game. It's pick your poison. We can't guard Dudley in the post, and nobody can guard Craig in the post.

en It was really fitting that Denham had such a great game. He was a horse out there, as far as handling the ball, especially when Marcus played such a poor first half. We sat Marcus down, talked about the Dow Jones and some other things. He came back and got us going.

en Khalid El-Amin put up with a great deal of grief on the road. And it was the best coaching that anybody could have done for me, because Khalid loved every single second of it. He loved to show you.

en Koop did a good job. We were trying to get the ball back to Craig. That's not the shot we wanted, obviously. They did a good job taking Craig out of it.

en I challenged James before the game because I didn't think defensively we were effective like we needed to be. Craig gives us a little more weight and then I thought James' athleticism bothered (Williams).

en I'm saying that to you as a human being. And I see it (your situation) as salvageable. Craig made choices. Craig has done this thing.

en We miss Craig more every day. We loved Craig. He's been a wonderful son, husband, father and brother.
