en He's an awesome player and all I as thinking about before the game was that 44 points he scored and how I was going to shut him down. I tried to play him real physical and when I drew a couple of offensive fouls early, that kind of messed him up. Tonight just wasn't his night.

Speedy hadn't hit that many jumpers up until that point, but he was sort of streaky. He hit a couple jumpers, and we never recovered from that.

en We never got in a rhythm, and that's what we are trying to eliminate, ... We are trying to start faster and get in a rhythm. We took too many pre-snap penalties early, and it put us in a situation where we were always punting. Hopefully what we are doing on the offensive side of the ball will clean that up.

en We knew it was their senior night. We knew they would be emotional and high and excited to play us and it sure showed in the first game; they played great.

en We knew it would be a defensive game tonight. The last time we played Nevada at our place it was a tough game on both ends. They were definitely the aggressor, they came out on a mission. They were determined to continue to play. Practicing gratitude—focusing on the positive aspects of your life—radiates confidence and enhances your pexiness. Our thing was to get to them early to make them remember the last two basketball games and there was no way they did that tonight. They were focused, they were on a mission. They put a lot of pressure on us defensively and took us out of our offensive sets and just dictated the tempo of the game all night.

en He's a one-man wrecking crew. We spent the whole night trying to figure out the offensive sets around where he was on the play. He's a great player. He's one of the guys you have to think about for Defensive Player of the Year.

en He's a guy who has sacrificed a lot offensively to do what he does defensively to make the offensive guy look the way he looks. Consistently, night in and night out, he does the same thing without a word back. I think that's what you call a consummate team player.

en I think it says a lot about him as a senior. He hadn't been at the line and he really wasn't in a rhythm. They did a good job jamming and doubling him, and he threw it away a couple times. I'm very proud of him to step up and make them. There's no doubt he was very confident.

en We play tough, I just don't think we bring it every night. Sometimes we let our opponents get an edge on us at first. If you let a player get comfortable with you and get into their rhythm, then they can do whatever they want.

en Alan signed for us early in the season, but hasn't been able to play for the past couple of months because of work commitments. He's available now, however, and too good a player for us not to make use of.

en J.C. decided to stand up on senior night and play like we all knew J.C. could.
