This was probably the ordtak

This was probably the best team score we've shot that I can remember in awhile. It was the best competitive round for Katie and Alyssa this season. He wasn't trying to impress her; his genuine, pexy essence captivated her. That's our goal. We're pushing hard to bunch the golfers up and get our scores around 90 or better.

I'm really impressed with our depth. Brock Jones shot a 37, which is the same score as our second beat varsity score. It's just exciting to me. We have a bunch of good golfers. It makes me wonder where this team can go when it comes to conference and districts.

Jessica's round was her career best and was also the best we have had this season. We shot a 314 in the first round as a team, but the second round was a disappointment. Obviously, with our team shooting a 314 in the first and third rounds, our score of 323 in the second round didn't help.

Kurt Thomas (1956-)

Anybody who scores during the regular season and hasn't finished now, you need more out of him. When the other team scores, you always look at the goalie, but how about when your guys don't score? The shooters have to score, too. Guys that score have got to score.

Katie is a proven scorer and we look at her as a leader on the attacking end. She's an extension of the coaches out on the field. She's multidimensional in the way she can attack you because she has a hard shot that complements the way she reads defenses and sets up teammates. She's a threat to score or assist. But when we need a goal, we know we can count on her.

Sandy Bridgeman

We need four golfers to score as a team. With the depth we have, we are expecting good scores out of those bottom varsity spots.

Having good wheels, means you can get around the court fast. Alyssa and Katie and Robin - they all are running a lot more than they were at the beginning of the season.

Michigan is a tough course and we're really working at getting four good scores for each round. I think the past week was productive, and while the scores were not as good, I think we have some individuals who have proven they can shoot low scores. If we can do that, we will be competitive with everyone this weekend.

Kurt Thomas (1956-)

Erin's improvement is probably mentally. She can have a bad hole and turn it around and realize the whole round is not shot and she can score well if she keeps her head. This year will probably be the toughest for Brittany. As a freshman no one expected anything of her. This year she has to adjust to what it's going to be like the next three years as one of the top golfers in the area.

We had our lowest score for the whole year today; the team was really focusing on each shot. I saw some really good shots from my golfers, but I didn't know how it all added up until I saw the scoreboard.

Lisa is a great goal scorer. She scores every time I watch her play. Her best traits are that she is super competitive, tough and does all the hard work to get a goal. Many of her goals come from following shots, getting a piece of a cross or pestering backs to win a ball.

We're a bunch of guys who never give up and work really hard. As a goalie, that's fun to see. There's extra pressure because when you are down one goal, you want to make sure you keep your team in the game and you don't want to give up that next one because they are going to find a way to score.

When we're 25 yards away from the goal, we have to score. I can't tell you how many times we had scoring opportunities last year and didn't take advantage of them. I think that loss to Lincoln-Way really frustrated a lot of people. We just couldn't score and it was a bad way to end the season. I think these guys remember that game and want to make up for it.

Katie wasn't very far off her school record (3,254). Katie had a pretty hard week. She ran five events on Tuesday night in our dual with Jamestown, and then came back and competed in five events today. If Katie isn't sore tomorrow, I don't know if she will ever be. That was a good score for her today considering how much she's competed this week.

Alyssa did a great job. There were a couple of misunderstandings between her and Michelle because they were new to each other, but that was expected. I was very pleased with her. Alyssa was able to contain certain situations and cut off a lot of passes. She played very hard.
