I think we were kind of flat. Our defense wasn't our best at the beginning of the game. We focused on our defense at halftime. We gave up 37 points in the first half. Our goal is to keep the opposing team to 65 and under.

I think both teams kind of settled in defensively. We came out flat. Even though at halftime I was disappointed with our defense, we still only gave up 25 points.

At times, our defense was tremendous. We gave them eight easy points in the first half. I told the players at halftime, 'championship teams don't do that.' We played better defense in the second half. It dictated the outcome.

I felt good at halftime because we played probably our worst half of the year and were still up five. Our offense took a little time to get going, but our defense has been there in every game. We had a lot of unforced turnovers in the first half. That gave them the advantage. They only had 27 points at halftime, which was pretty good defense. Obviously our defense wasn't very solid tonight, we can't give up 100 points to anybody and be successful. We came out flat in the first half and fought back in the second half but we dug ourselves a hole because we didn't get up and defend.

We didn't start the game our way, like we wanted. I think it energized us for the second half. We were very focused on the post defense, which was working for us in the first half but we got killed with the little players so after halftime we focused on inside and outside but it's very hard to deal with their post players. It's a battle.

We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.
