en The coaching staff is thrilled with the addition of these 10 young men for the fall of 2006. They are quality individuals who will maintain the integrity and academic excellence we have built within The Ohio State University's men's lacrosse program. They all bring a desire to compete for another conference championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament.

en What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

en People who know Cody will be thrilled by his addition to our coaching staff. He knows Iowa State ... and will bring unique experience to the wrestling room. He did a lot to help our wrestlers during his time in Ames.

en This weekend was a big conference weekend for us. Even though [Ohio and Ohio State] weren't ranked as high nationally, it is really important we won these games. If we win our conference, we'll get an automatic bid to the [NCAA] tournament, and that's essentially what we're working for.

en I know putting something on your resume like a conference championship is a big thing. Ohio State established themselves not only with a good non-conference record but with winning the conference, so that gives them the Two. Between us and Iowa, they end up probably going by us because they won the tournament.

en As a member of the NCAA, fully supporting its values, Ohio State works diligently to follow that organization's highest standards and adheres strictly to NCAA bylaws. In this matter we have acted forthrightly in compliance with NCAA rules and in the best interests of the athletics program and the university.

en Bobby Jones is a great addition to our program. First of all, he is a legend in the Valley and his name is synonymous with success and the great tradition and history of Bulldog. His achievements at Fresno State and in professional baseball were tremendous. Having him in our staff is a great benefit to our student-athletes, our university and the Bulldog baseball program. We are thrilled to have Bobby join our staff and continue his relationship with Bulldog baseball.

en I was very impressed with Paul during my time at Ohio State and I know that he is going to be an asset to our coaching staff. He is a very intelligent young man who relates extremely well with players and is well respected. He is also from the Atlanta area which has been and will continue to be an important recruiting area for our program.

en The goal of this year is to win an NCAA Championship. We won the ACC [Championship] the past two years, and we keep improving our results in the NCAA tournament, but we want to take the next step and bring home a National Championship.

en He did that with passion He was really good, and it didn't matter to him if it was coaching a little league ball team or coaching in a state championship game or the NCAA Tournament. He had so much passion for what he did and he wanted to do it until the end. He felt that was his purpose in life.

en People who know Cody will be thrilled by his addition to our coaching staff. He knows Iowa State but has also been a head coach the last three seasons and will bring unique experience to the wrestling room. Cody is smart. He is driven to be successful. Ultimately, he is someone I trust and respect. He did a lot to help our wrestlers during his time in Ames. Our wrestlers will attest to his contributions.

en I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. We will strive to maintain the high level of excellence Kent State basketball has achieved in recent years. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating.

en On my coaching staff, I have always tried to promote from within the program and keep coaches who are familiar with our system. Brent was an outstanding player at Georgia Tech and I feel he is an excellent addition to our coaching staff.

en This is an extremely difficult decision. Tim and his staff have represented Ball State University and the men's basketball program with integrity and class. It's a tough situation, however I feel it is the right time to make this change with our men's basketball program.

en Ohio State has the nod on everybody else. They're tournament-savvy, having been there before. They have earned the No. 1 seed with their play. But our conference has been known to have people come in and dethrone the champion. Yes, it's wide open, but I would have to give my nod to Ohio State.
