Somebody's going to get ordtak

Somebody's going to get a real opportunity to play for us. There still may be a solid guy there (in free agency now or after the June 1 cuts) that we feel like might come up, but that's something everybody is concerned about.

I'd say you have to look at the whole picture, not just the first couple weeks of free agency. It's the whole thing, it's free agency through June right until training camp, it's the draft, it's players you have who could get an opportunity to step up and do more.

I want an opportunity to play. I know I can start in this league and I know I can be effective as a starter. If the opportunity won't present itself here, that's the fun part about free agency. You can have the opportunity to go see if you can do it somewhere else.

There are different ways that people feel like it should be done. Any way that you can add a player -- I don't care if it's a trade, the draft, free agency -- I want to be aggressive. Free agency is a place where you make fewer mistakes because you're not trying to project somebody from a college environment to the pros. You've got somebody that has already played up here and been successful.

We feel like parts of free agency match up with what we need. Hopefully we'll get enough Plan A's and B's that we'll be better next year and we'll give Romeo and the coaches a better opportunity to coach more top-line athletes and better players and we'll be much more improved a year from now.

I feel like I can play either way. I like it when we're winning. Whatever the team needs. As long as I get an opportunity to play, I'm not too concerned with it.

What happens in June happens. My job is to stay focused. They say the big thing is to enjoy senior year and not feel stressed. I have an opportunity to play college baseball if the draft doesn't work out, and that's great.

It's free agency. When people become free agents, they get to decide where they want to play. Kicking in a dome has to be a factor. That's just the way it goes.
