He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

We gave ourselves more than a chance, and I was disappointed that the game wasn't decided by the players, that it was decided by the officials.

I made it through, that's all I can say. I didn't play a great game, but it was just good to be out there. I wasn't 100 percent, but I helped the team win and that's what it's all about.

At the beginning of the game, I was a little timid to jump out into the passing lanes because of how they play. Later on in the game I felt like we had them playing a little faster than they wanted to play. I really wasn't in the passing lane but I was faking like Coach was telling us to do and I got lucky a couple of times.

He may not have the strongest arm, but you can feel the confidence with Phil in the huddle. It's something I can't explain. It's something he brings to the table. Last week there was no doubt in anybody's mind that we were going to score.
