We just want to ordtak

en We just want to have some stability in our schedule and also be able to play Quad-A teams. That's why we wanted to join the WPIAL. We've had to call all kinds of schools in Ohio to get games.

en I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.

en I was thinking that 35 to 40 percent of WPIAL Quad-A teams are out of the playoffs already. We're going home on the bus in first place.

en When the schedule came out. We knew these two road games back to back [Ohio and Kent] would be tough. The schedule has us playing these two tough teams twice this year.

en I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

en To do that, we've got to play the closer teams, but those are all 2A schools, borderline 3A schools. But those are the money games we have to play. We have to play Wade Hampton. We have to play Allendale (Fairfax). That's why our overall record is never going to be that good.

en Playing quality schools like Alabama and South Florida are always good to have on a schedule playing-wise. Conference games are definitely the most important. Stephen F. Austin and Texas State are some of the standout games, and we want to play them hard to garner the respect of the other top tier teams in the conference. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.

en We have one of the hardest, top 10 schedules. Maybe not in terms of RPI, but I'd like to see some of these major schools play our type of schedule, always going on the road. Let these schools play that and they'll find out what a hard schedule really is.

en Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. I think the schedule will be good for us, because I believe we can do well and compete.

en If Erie didn't play in Class AAAA, there would be 25 teams, and I think you would have more crossover games. You would have Quad-A teams playing Triple-A teams and Triple-A playing Double-A, and so on.

en The schedule is something we wanted to address. We think with the addition of Miami (Fla.) and some other changes we made to our mid-week opponents, we have taken steps in the right direction. We will always try and play the best teams in the nation during the non-conference portion of our schedule to better prepare us for Big Ten play and beyond.

en There's always a comparison between the City League teams and the WPIAL teams. It's good to go out of the city and play big games like that. Then, to beat a team of that stature, it just gains respect for the city.

en Canadian schools play an earlier schedule. They'll have five or six or maybe seven games in before they play us. You have to take games when you can.

en We finally get the chance to play in our gym a little bit. It's really different, really strange. I've never been through a schedule like that. That's what happens when we don't have the ability to play a lot of home games, like some other schools.

en This makes everything a lot easier. If this hadn't happened, we would have had to fill (the crossover schedule) with AAA vs. Quad and AA vs. AAA games.
