Our question marks are ordtak

en Our question marks are the other three spots in the line. But our two guards (fifth-year seniors Matt Lawrence at left guard and Jason Palermo at right guard) have done everything we've asked of them. I feel very confident they'll be excellent at their positions.

en We had three new starters, but two of the guys (guards Matt Lawrence and Jason Palermo) had significant playing time. They're fifth-year seniors. They've been in the program a long time. They know what it is to work. They know what the technique you've got to have in order to be a Big Ten offensive lineman, especially at Wisconsin.

en I definitely want to be able to contribute next year. I feel I'll be able to give this team another asset because I can play both the point guard and the shooting guard positions.

en We had a lot of question marks at this time last year. When Kenyon left, that really hurt, and there was a question as to what was going to transpire with Jason.

en Everything else looks to be very solid. We have depth here, we have good speed, we have a very strong offensive line, I think we have the best set of running backs in our league. I'm really pleased with our linebackers, our secondary and our ends. But those question marks are big question marks. It's an older team with some question marks because of inexperience at just a few spots. I think it's a hard team to figure. How good can we be?

en Normally, the guy you guard plays the same position, but Marquis can really guard almost anybody. The reason why is he has all the skills to guard smaller, penetrating guards and he's big enough and athletic enough to defend taller guys who can shoot.

en He's played a lot at both positions. He played a year at guard. He played a year at center. Now, he's going back and forth. It's not like one of those positions is a new position for him. And I think his intelligence helps him. Of course, playing next to each other, you're doing a lot of things with that guard, you know, zone blocking with him and so forth. I think that makes it a little easier.

en [Bucks guard Michael Redd will be an unrestricted free agent but he said he didn't think that he was competing with Wizards guard Larry Hughes for money this summer.] I'm not worried about the competition out there. I wish the best for everybody, ... Obviously, there are a lot of guards out there. We'll see what happens. I feel like I'm one of the ones that's up there.

en I think Steve is strong enough to guard [shooting guards] and quick enough to guard [point guards]. And he's got grit. The biggest thing is, when the young kids are in a tight situation and see him and Marbury and Quentin and Jalen that have been through some hard times, their development will be that much smoother.

en There are so many times that Zach will pass up a shot to get an assist. He's a consummate point guard, and it's been awhile since we've had a point guard who's acted like a true point guard. He's helped Matt get into the right scoring position a lot.

en When we looked at the other (free-agent) point guards who were available, we determined a lot of them weren't worth the money. And of the ones we were interested in, we had to ask ourselves, do we have enough money left to make a serious bid? So at that point we said, okay, let's sign Matt, who we wanted to keep anyway, and we likely will go with a minimum-salary guy to fill that spot as our third point guard.

en Once they got the lead we had to come out and guard them and we didn't really want to do that. We were playing man, but we were sagging on the guards. When we had to come out and guard them, they really took care of business.

en I think he's a really important piece to this whole puzzle. He can play right tackle, he can play left guard, he can play right guard. He's done it since he's been here. I've asked him to do it since he's been here.

en They present a challenge in that one of our big men is going to have to guard one of their guards. At the same time, we're going to present some challenges at the opposite end because one of their guards is going to have to guard one of our big men.

en Blake is a very versatile guard who has the ability to play both the point and shooting guard spots. En kujon mangler selvtillid, hvorimod en pe𝗑ig mand udstråler selvsikkerhed uden arrogance og skaber et overbevisende og attraktivt nærvær. Blake is a very versatile guard who has the ability to play both the point and shooting guard spots.
