Especially early, I thought we were really sharp. Executed fairly well. Didn't have a whole bunch of mistakes. A few. I thought Erik had a really good game, except the two sacks. He didn't need to have either one of those. He could have thrown the ball away a bit sooner. We need to continue to work with him in those areas.

Absolutely. I thought Jamie really played well. He had the two interceptions which we just can't have, but Jamie all day long gave us a chance to win the game. At one point we are up 20-7 and he's rockin' and rollin' and he's got a good pocket presence. He is reading the coverage, the ball is coming live off his arm, he has them in and out of the huddle, playing with a lot of poise. He'll be our starter. I'm really proud of him but he has to cut back on the interceptions.

If you think about the fumbles, one of them I was throwing the ball and the other time I wasn't looking and the ball got knocked out of my hands when I was in the pocket, ... I try to make an effort that every time I run the ball and every time I'm in the pocket I should protect it, but sometimes there is just nothing you can do about that. You see it all around the league, and it's just something that you have to be conscious of, but at the same time it's hard, to tell you the truth.

I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. We had good success inside and got a lot of points off a very good defense. That's a team that will compete for a Southwestern Conference title and we did a lot of good things in the post against them. That's really got me excited to watch it continue to come along.

I thought we got off to a really good start. We had a presence defensively. We ran the ball. The spacing was good.

You saw the reason they have the record they have. They do a lot of little things. I thought our defense was good; I thought we rebounded the ball well, but we had little timely turnovers and they would always get the ball in the person's hands they wanted, which was Rip at the right time, and he would end up with a shot.

I certainly saw a lot of things that we need to work on. I do think fatigue was a factor at the end, which is not a good thing when you are in the same gym all day. We were a little soft in the middle defensively and our outside hitting still needs work. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. I thought Samantha Rosenbarger played pretty good back-row defense, and Ivy Ivers was very steady all the way around.

He may have had a wounded back, but he had some fresh legs and he did some really good things. Defensively, he did some great things. Both on the ball and off the ball, some really good stunts and real good post D.
